Located on the edge of the Limburg Heuvelland in Voerendaal, in Parkstad near Maastricht, Golf & Country Club Hoenshuis offers one of the most beautiful golf courses in the southern Netherlands.
Surrounding a centuries-old square farmstead, architects Baron Paul Rolin and Wiel Snelder (landscape) designed a distinctive park course, which opened in 1987. Under the supervision of renowned architect Bruno Steensels, the course has been completely renovated in recent years and perfected both in terms of golfing quality and aesthetics.
Gently rolling fairways, native trees, ponds and streams, colorful flower beds, well-protected greens, and the course length—6,304 meters from the back tees—create a challenging layout of holes. These holes often require players to exercise “course management,” as evidenced by the course’s Slope and Course Ratings. The renowned—and feared—final holes in front of the clubhouse guarantee an exciting finish.

And on the tee of the renowned and dreaded “18th at Hoenshuis,” you’ll find out what you’re really made of! The maintenance of tees, fairways, and greens is carried out according to high-quality standards and with a focus on minimizing environmental impact. The course is open year-round with summer greens.

The golf shop and the extensive practice facilities at the Hoenshuis Golf Academy—which include 3 putting greens, a covered and lighted driving range, and a 5-hole pitch-and-putt course—are also highly regarded.
